Joan of Arc Article
“Faith Winship Smith, a veteran Twin Cities actor, who will make her debut on the Open Window stage as Queen Marie, is excited to be a part of this original production.
‘I have not gotten to be a part of an original work in close to 10 years and so getting to step into this space and work with like-minded, faith-based people, knowing that it’s going to be a script with material that’s powerful … is super cool,’ she said. ‘It has been really enjoyable for me, and it’s so fun to see Jeremy guide the cast toward his vision.’
Though this is her first role in an Open Window production, Winship Smith is not a stranger to the organization. She recently began teaching musical theater classes as part of the theatre’s Young Actors Academy.”

“Faith Winship Smith, as Charles' wife Marie Anjou, nicely expresses her confidence in both Jehanne and her husband, visibly capturing her later sense of betrayal at Charles' hand.” -Talkin’ Broadway
She Loves Me
“Faith Winship plays Ilona the other female employee who is carrying on a love affair with one of the other clerks at the start of the show. What is it about Winship that is so engaging? She has a fantastic voice, but there is something more. My wife says she’s just so cute, and I think that’s as good a term as any to describe her performance. What I mean, it’s not just her appearance, but it’s the facial expressions, the eyes that just beam with wit and a love of life, and the comedic timing. It’s all just so damn cute, that you just love her to death and root for her character.” -Stages of MN
“I love the main story between Amalia and Georg but absolutely adore seeing Ilona’s story play out learning more about the love she deserves and sticking up for herself, Faith Winship brought a fabulous energy to the role!” -Lettered In Theatre
The Marvelous Wonderettes
“Suzy is played by Faith Winship and is wonderful with her characters little comedic bits, in the first act she’s constantly chewing gum, in the second act she gets to be pregnant. Her body language is perfect and adds these little extra moments to each of the acts that just somehow adds to the shows perfection. My favorite song from her was “Respect” which has a fabulous gag in it that I’m not going to spoil.” - Stages of MN
